The Single Parent Resource Network is an Austin, Texas-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to co-creating community for healthier, happier families. We meet twice monthly & provide our single parent families the option of participating in babysitting cooperatives, clothing swaps, potlucks, social events and more.

We meet regularly twice a month: The first meeting is every 2nd Sunday of the month at 11.30am at Ruta Maya Coffeehouse, located at 3601 South Congress. This general meeting provides parents the opportunity to network and socialize, and we often discuss in-depth important issues concerning single parents.

The second meeting of the month is every last Saturday at 3pm at Central Market, located near the corner of North Lamar Blvd and 38 ½ th Street. This meeting serves as our monthly Social Gathering. We have lots of fun at this meeting as we discuss the upcoming events and new ideas for fostering the growth of the group. SPRN only cancels this meeting if it's storming (if it's a light rain or extremely cold or hot, we still meet inside the Central Market Cafe).

SPRN moms are also involved in the production and programming of the Radical Mothers' Voice, a weekly radio show airing every Wednesday from 1-2pm central standard time on 91.7 f.m., KOOP Austin. You can tune in online if you can't on the radio at www.koop.org. We have wonderful guests on the show ranging from college professors to social activists and psychotherapists, as well as the occasional gubernatorial candidate. We love to discuss education issues, nutrition and health issues, child development issues, politics & much more. We also play a bit of music and we give away tickets to movies, plays and concerts. Tune in!!
